Wood windows and doors have been around for centuries. Not only do they offer more flexibility, they have an unparalleled charm and character that vinyl and fiberglass windows just can't match. At Lepage, our uniqueness resides in our ability to match your ideas with authentic products, made-to-order, without compromise.
Standard wood species
Eastern White Pine
EWP has been the choice of craftsmen in Northern Canada since 1700's. Soft, easy to work and dimensionally stable, this wood type blends perfectly with traditional and contemporary styles. Its pale yellow appearance and uniform grain look perfect when stained and impeccable when painted.
Red Grandis
“Red Grandis” is a plantation-grown hardwood from Uruguay, South America. It is relatively uniform in color with slight variations from pale to medium pink. The attractive, moderately coarse grain pattern is predominantly straight. Budget-wise, it represents an excellent choice for customers looking for wood exterior products, with a similar hardness, density and grain texture to mahogany and cherry.
Utile Mahogany
Utile Mahogany is an African hardwood with a reddish-brown, straight grain that has the best density among our standard wood types. It has an excellent workability and is very durable. Mahogany is recommended for exterior use when painted and has an enhanced durability against wood rot, while its smooth finish is also excellent for staining.
Accoya®
Made from sustainably grown Radiata pine in New Zealand, Accoya® is stronger than exotic hardwoods and more eco-friendly than synthetic alternatives. Ideal for exterior joinery, it resists swelling, shrinking, and extreme weather conditions while maintaining a flawless appearance. Its exceptional dimensional stability makes it a top choice for doors and windows, delivering lasting performance, durability, and refined aesthetics—even in high-humidity environments.
