The Dalby House, now known as the Ayrshire Hotel built in 1865, is one of Canada’s oldest surviving Flat Iron buildings. Located in downtown Elora, it has long been a landmark with a rich commercial history. New ownership sought to restore its heritage charm and revive its original purpose as a boutique hotel. The building had endured years of neglect, requiring a complete transformation while preserving its historical character.
